Scientific Coordinator (f/m/x) - Cluster of Excellence „Our Dynamic Universe“ (DYNAVERSE)

The Universities of Cologne and Bonn, the MPI for Radio-Astronomy, and Forschungszentrum Jülich are establishing the new Cluster of Excellence ‘Our Dynamic Universe’ (DYNAVERSE). The coordination is based at the Institute of Astrophysics in Cologne.
YOUR TASKS
Scientific coordination of the Cluster of Excellence and all related tasks, including:
Preparation of scientific content (e.g. from astrophysics) also for popular science purposes, websites, etc
Creative development and implementation of new formats for scientific collaboration and communication
Organization of conferences, collaboration meetings, workshops, colloquia, and similar events
Support in preparing scientific funding proposals
Independent coordination and close collaboration within the team
YOUR PROFILE
You hold a degree (doctorate thesis, PhD or equivalent) in a natural science subject
You have experience in writing scientific grant proposals
You can work independently as well as in a team
You have knowledge of LaTeX
You have skills in creating and maintaining websites
You have very good communication skills
You speak and write German and English fluently
You have experience in project management

The position is available from 1 October 2026 on a full-time basis (39,83 hours per week). The position is to be filled for a fixed term until 31 December 2032. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary will be based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.
