In the Cologne Institute for Information Systems (CIIS), we teach and research all aspects related to information systems. In our research, we work closely with other international universities and companies. One focus is on the application of state-of-the-art approaches from the field of information systems to real-world problems.
YOUR TASKS
Contribute to our research on digital innovation and responsible AI
Use of state-of-the-art methods from the field of information systems (e.g., qualitative and quantitative approaches, computationally intensive approaches)
Publish research results in leading international journals
Teach in the field of information systems
Cooperate with international universities and leading companies
YOUR PROFILE
Master‘s degree in information systems, computer science, economics, management, or a comparable field of study
High motivation and enjoyment in dealing with challenging questions
Ability to work in a team and good communication skills
High motivation and commitment
Fluent in German and English

The position is available from 1 March 2026 on a full-time basis (39,83 hours per week). The position is to be filled or a fixed term until 28 February 2029. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary is based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.
