Postdoctoral researcher (m/f/d)
 

Department of Psychology

Within the group of Prof. Jonas Oblesr at the Department of Psychology (Institut für Psychologie) we invite applications for a Postdoctoral researcher (full-time, 100%).
The position is integral part of the Department of Psychology with a primary research focus in the group of Obleser (auditorycognition.com). The position allows and expects the development of a postdoctoral research programme within the Obleser lab and comes with only modest teaching obligations.

Tasks:

• Scientific research in the fields of cognitive neuroscience, systems neuroscience, computational modelling, or psychology#
• Methods teaching in the BSc and MSc programmes the group contributes to (Psychology, Cognitive Systems, Audio Science)
   

Requirements:
 

• a Master’s degree (or equivalent) and a PhD/ Dr. in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, neuroscience, or a related field
• Prior experience in human cognitive neuroscience methods (e.g., EEG, MEG, and/or fMRI, brain stimulation, computational modelling, or related)demonstrable methodological and data analysis skills
• Excellent command of English (German is an advantage, but not essential)
• Willingness to contribute to teaching (methods training in BSc/MSc Psychology programs)
• Strong research interests that fit into the larger framework of the Obleser lab
• Prior experience in scientific publishing (first-author peer-reviewed publications)
• Interest to teach statistics at an undergrad level
• Interest to work in and contribute to a diverse team
