As part of the nationally funded project DICE-CD (Data Innovations in Collaborative Ecosystems for Clinical Domains), the Institute for Biomedical Informatics (BI-K) at the University Hospital Cologne collaborates with leading partners such as Charité Berlin, national research institutes, and industry players to develop a reference architecture for clinical data platforms.

The project’s goal is to build a modular, interoperable data ecosystem that enables end-to-end integration of clinical data and supports the use of state-of-the-art AI and analytics in real-world patient care. Together with clinicians, researchers, and technology providers, we validate these solutions in practice – starting with rare disease pathways such as ADPKD.

As a student assistant, you will support our team in both technical development and project coordination. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of computer science, medicine, and project management.
