Student Assistant (m/f/div) IT Operations
- Working hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week during lectures
- Location: FLOCERT GmbH Headquarter Bonn, Germany (regular on-site presence required)
- Salary: Category II of the Collective Bargaining Agreement; appr. EUR 1,400 gross per month (depending on the hours worked), plus holiday bonus and a 13th salary
- Contract: Fixed-term for 12 months
- Start date: as soon as possible
Description
Would you like to gain practical IT experience while helping colleagues across an international organisation? Join our IT Operations team and support the reliable day-to-day running of FLOCERT's workplace technology.
You will work on clearly defined support and hardware tasks, learn from experienced colleagues and contribute to IT projects and process improvements alongside your studies.
What you will do
- Receive, document and route helpdesk incidents and service requests.
- Provide first-level support for workplace hardware and software, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance and replacement.
- Support the full hardware lifecycle, including asset tracking, device preparation, secure data wiping, reuse, donation and decommissioning.
- Help improve our server rooms through cabling, patching, labelling and equipment organisation.
- Assist with IT infrastructure projects, process documentation and the support of Microsoft 365, mobile devices and meeting-room technology.
What you bring
- You are enrolled at a recognised university or university of applied sciences and can provide a valid certificate of enrolment throughout the employment period.
- You are studying IT, computer science, business informatics or a related subject, or can demonstrate a strong practical interest in workplace technology.
- You have a basic understanding of Microsoft Windows and common workplace hardware and software.
- You communicate confidently in English; German or Spanish language skills are welcome.
- You enjoy solving practical problems and explaining technical matters clearly and patiently.
- You work reliably and in a structured, service-oriented and collaborative way, and you identify with FLOCERT's mission.
Any previous hands-on experience in IT support or common workplace technologies will help you get started, but curiosity and a willingness to learn matter more than a catalogue of tools.
