STUDENT ASSISTANT JOB (SHK) AT THE CHAIR OF SOCIAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY – UNIVERSITY OF COLOGNE - Köln

Dear students,

we are looking for a student assistant for the upcoming term (WS 2026/27) to support research that is currently conducted at the Chair of Social and Organizational Psychology at the University of Cologne. Our research revolves around attitudes, ambivalence, social judgment and the decision-making process (for more information see www.irisschneider.nl).

Start: As soon as possible, the position is initially limited to 12 months, with the possibility of extension.

Hours: 8-16 hours a week (to be discussed)

Remuneration: 15,20€ per hour, in accordance with the university’s internal guidelines for the employment and remuneration of academic and student assistants.

Your tasks:

You will support all phases of the research process, such as:

• Idea generation
• Literature review
• Data collection and analysis
• Presenting findings in various forms

Your profile:

• Good knowledge of English
• Strong interest in research
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn
• Prior experience with statistical software and/or coding (e.g., R) is an advantage
• You must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Germany
• Preferably in Management, Psychology, (behavioral) Economics, Sociology or similar study programs
