Summary
Responsible for handling all aspects of sample receipt and accessioning, sample storage and sample retrieval. Assist in liaising with investigator sites and / or other LabConnect personnel to ensure that the samples and data received are complete, consistent and accurate. Coordinator will work with other team members to resolve issues before escalating to management.
Coordinator will ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with the ICH E6 (R2) Guidance on Good Clinical Practice, for which training will be provided.
This role is fully onsite in Cologne, Germany.
A drivers' license is a requirement for this role.
Responsibilities
Reviews and commits digital forms and manages sample tracking/forecasting per study contract and OSD specifications.
Provides sample tracking services for the company’s SampleGISTICSTM Services projects (SGS). The Sampling Coordinator will work closely with other staff within SGS and with the PRM department to provide operational support for SGS projects.
Sample check-in/chain-of-custody management.
Coordinate shipping sample specimens to (specialty) labs and sponsors and ordering necessary storage codes inclusive of generating manifests and performing mass status changes.
Specimen storage at all temperatures, including LN2.
Preparing reports (e.g. inventory reports, department specific reports, etc.), and all biorepository housekeeping tasks.
Performs Form Review/Queries and resolve sample discrepancies.
Monitors edit checks and QC forms as necessary and works with ISS/BRS on form/sample issues.

Education/Experience
At least High School graduation. Experience in data entry and/or life science related industries and Microsoft Office applications are preferred. Must possess excellent organization and interpersonal skills. Ability to navigate software and databases is a must. Very high attention to detail and excellent multi-tasking skills is required for success in this position.
Language Ability
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Fluent in German and English language.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
applications including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 Kg. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
