To support our sustainability team, we are now looking for a
Your Responsibilities
Operational support for compliance with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) (approx. 80%):
- Verify geolocation data in an automated system to ensure that production plots do not overlap with deforested areas
- Data management: open and maintain cases for each consignment
- Request data and documents from suppliers and provide them with technical support during data submission
- Run automated data verification and plausibility checks
- Follow up with suppliers on missing documents and open questions
- Consult with the Sustainability Manager on the findings of deforestation analyses
- Support the due diligence process and related documentation
- Assist with planning and reporting to the Sustainability & Supply Chain Manager
Other tasks within the sustainability department (approx. 20%):
- Support communications and marketing tasks, e.g. preparing social media posts (LinkedIn and Instagram)
- Edit and revise texts for the website
- Help prepare promotional content such as flyers, as well as PowerPoint presentations
- Additional administrative or content-related tasks, depending on the applicant's background and interests and the needs of the company
Your Profile
- Enrollment in a relevant field of study (e.g. sustainability management, environmental science, geography, business, or agricultural science)
- Excellent written and spoken English skills; Spanish, French, or Portuguese language skills are an advantage
- Detail-oriented, structured, and reliable working style
- Good technical understanding and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; affinity for data and digital systems
- Interest in supply chains, sustainability, and regulatory topics (e.g. EUDR)
- Experience in or interest in creative communication tasks
- Initial professional experience preferred
Working Hours and Compensation
- 20 hours per week during the lecture period, up to 40 hours per week possible during semester breaks, based on workload
- Fair compensation based on qualifications and prior experience
