We are a small and ambitious team located in Hamburg developing MPC Container Ships, a fast-growing asset manager in the maritime shipping sector. At MPC Container Ships, we currently own 59x feeder container ships active around the globe with a combined capacity of ~141,000 TEU. Since foundation in 2017, the company has grown to ~USD 1bn in market capitalization at high startup-speed and is listed publicly in Oslo and one of Norway’s most traded stocks.

YOUR TASKS
Develop impactful data products to automate our asset management processes and boost our profitability
Be an impactful contributor to the team to plan, design and develop sophisticated solutions
Ship fast and a lot - as one of the first and most important hires in this project you will push code to production constantly with a big impact from the get-go
Support the development of new features contributing full-stack to speed up development
Establish best practices for a secure, scalable and reliable master data system
Dein Profil
SaaS/ Marketplace/ ECommerce startup or maritime/ logistics company is a big plus
Preferably +2 years of experience in writing clean, maintainable code using e.g.: Python
Preferably studying computer science, data science or a program with shipping exposure
Highly self-organized, interested in taking over ownership and being proactive
Strong knowledge of relational database technologies, ability to read and understand SQL
Understanding for good design practices with interest in developing tools and libraries
Willingness to analyze existing structure and to document these
Experience in business process analysis with financial and preferably shipping background
Experienced user within Microsoft Office product suite, especially Excel
