Student Research Assistant (SHK / HiWi) – Data Analysis of Neural Recordings - Göttingen

Universitätsmedizin Göttingen
Raum Göttingen

Dein Job

The Neural Circuits and Cognition Lab, led by Caspar Schwiedrzik at the European Neuroscience Institute – Göttingen (https://eni-g.de/groups/neural-circuits-and-cognition), is seeking a student research assistant (SHK / HiWi) to support the analysis of electrophysiological data for research on the neural mechanisms of predictive processing and statistical learning in the human brain.

The position focuses on the analysis of human electrophysiological data, specifically intracranial EEG (iEEG) recordings from epilepsy patients.

The student will contribute to ongoing projects investigating how the human brain learns regularities in the environment and uses them to generate predictions about future events.

An example of recent work from the lab can be found here: https://doi.org/10.64898/2025.11.30.691163

WHAT WE OFFER:

- The opportunity to work with unique human intracranial electrophysiological datasets

- Experience with advanced neural data analysis methods

- Participation in cutting-edge research in cognitive neuroscience

- Integration into an interdisciplinary research environment
