Two doctoral research positions are available in the research group of Prof. Dr Michael R. Buchmeiser at the Institute of Polymer Chemistry, University of Stuttgart, beginning in July 2026.
Research Focus:
Successful candidates will work on innovative projects in the field of organometallic and polymerization catalysis, including:
Design, synthesis, and detailed characterization of NHC-based Mo/W imido/oxo alkylidene metathesis catalysts and Rh–NHC complexes
Development and catalytic evaluation of MOF-heterogenized Rh–NHC systems for isomerization reactions
Investigation of Mo/W imido/oxo alkylidene NHC complexes for olefin metathesis applications
Exploration of tandem ethylene oligomerization–isomerization–cross-metathesis under confinement
The projects aim to combine molecular catalyst design with confinement effects in porous materials, contributing to next-generation catalytic systems.
