The University of Stuttgart has an interdisciplinary profile, with a focus on the natural sciences and engineering. Its outstanding standing as a research university and the broad range of subjects it offers make it an internationally recognised and forward-looking centre of scholarship and research.
The Institute for Ergonomics and Technology Management (IAT) at the University of Stuttgart focuses its research and teaching on the innovation, development and optimisation of products, processes and structures. In doing so, we take into account the overall system comprising people, organisation, technology and the environment.

Develop advanced methods for signal processing, artefact correction, and interpretable machine learning
Support the acquisition of third-party funding (e.g., DFG, EU, BMBF) and play a role in formulating new research proposals
Engage in teaching activities in both German and English and supervise student theses
Foster collaboration and build networks with national and international partners
Your Profile:
An above-average academic degree in a neuroscience-related discipline, such as Neuroscience, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a comparable programme
Demonstrable experience in the acquisition and analysis of neurophysiological data (M/EEG, fNIRS, and/or eye tracking)
Proficient programming skills (preferably in Python) with expertise in neurophysiological signal processing and artefact correction
Initial experience with multivariate statistics and/or machine learning
A systematic and meticulous work approach characterised by independence, responsibility, commitment, and teamwork, paired with creativity and innovative thinking
