Dein Profil

Your Responsibilities

  • You will support the Energy and Finance Department with technical, research, and administrative tasks.
  • You will contribute to project and acquisition work in areas such as:
    • Power sector development and reform
    • Grid planning and simulation
    • Cross-border electricity trade and regional market development
    • Integration of renewable energy into power systems
    • Electrification strategies and energy access planning
  • You will assist with research, data analysis, stakeholder mapping, and drafting technical documents.
  • You will support bid preparation team and may further support project implementation with senior colleagues and experts.

 

What You Bring
You are enrolled in a relevant Master or PhD degree program, such as:

  • Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or Power Engineering
  • Energy Economics, Energy Policy, or Infrastructure Planning
  • Other technical or interdisciplinary programs related to renewable energy or electricity markets

     

Ideally, you bring prior experience (e.g. internships, work experience or academic projects) in one or more of the following areas:

  • Power system modeling or planning
  • Electrification and access strategies
  • Regional power market or utility reform
  • Grid integration of renewable energy

 

  • You are confident using MS Office and familiar with GIS tools, energy modelling software (e.g. TIMES, PLEXOS, PowerFactory, PSS/E or other simulation software).
  • You speak fluent English; German and/or French are an advantage.
  • You are team-oriented, curious, and proactive.
  • You are available to work from our Hamburg office (Volksdorf) when needed, with flexibility to work remotely.
