The Hub of Computing and Data Science (HCDS) is a competence unit for research and forms the core element for the central support of digitalization and digital transformation in research at the University of Hamburg.
In the project "RESCUE-MATE - Dynamic Situation Generation and Support for Rescue Forces in Complex Crisis Situations", you will research the conceptualization of NLP-based demonstrators, research and engineering of the design of social media sensors for situation overviews for decision support for disaster control and coordination with the other partners.
specification of use cases, requirements and socio-technical systems within and beyond the AI- and data platform
conceptualization and development of data-driven solutions (TETRA, social media) for situation overviews and decision support systems
extraction of knowledge in and for complex crisis scenarios
designing data models and curation of complex data structures
graph-based representation of knowledge
Dein Profil
A university degree in a relevant field.
natural language processing in the area of critical infrastructures
experience in one or more of the following areas:
Modelling of data
Applied AI
Software engineering
Representation and modelling of knowledge in graphs
Machine Learning
Public safety & civil protection
very good command of written and spoken English and German
strong social and communication skills, initiative, motivation, high sense of responsibility, ability to work in a team and very good organizational skills
