The Quantitative Molecular Imaging Lab is offering bachelor's and master's thesis opportunities in the fields of medical imaging, simulation, and machine learning. We focus on advancing non-invasive diagnostic methods through innovative computational approaches.
Available topics include, but are not limited to:
Numerical Mouse Disease Models: Create realistic digital models to reduce animal testing in imaging research.
Disease-Aware Image Segmentation: Develop robust algorithms for segmenting muscle tissue in patients with neuromuscular diseases.
Reinforcement Learning for Simulation Optimization: Use RL to minimise the gap between simulated and real-world imaging data.
Who should apply: Motivated students in physics, computer science, biomedical engineering, computational biology or related disciplines.
Start date: Flexible
Location: European Neuroscience Institute, Göttingen, Germany
