About Us

Would you like to get hands-on with next-generation lab robots — from first sketch to working prototype? We're looking for a working student to help build, test, and refine hardware prototypes for our Material Acceleration Platforms (MAPs), scripting your test routines in Python.

What You'll Do

• Support design, assembly, and iteration of hardware prototypes for our MAPs

• Assist with mechanical integration of sensors, actuators, and robotic components

• Write Python scripts to automate testing and validation of prototypes

• Document design iterations, test results, and lessons learned

• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams

• Support 3D printing, CAD adjustments, and workshop tasks

What You Bring

• Basic to solid Python scripting skills

• Good written and spoken German and/or English

• Relevant coursework, lab, or industry experience in mechanical engineering

• Hands-on affinity for mechanical assembly and prototyping

• Experience with CAD tools required, ideally PTC Creo

• Basic electronics knowledge is an advantage
