About Us
Would you like to get hands-on with next-generation lab robots — from first sketch to working prototype? We're looking for a working student to help build, test, and refine hardware prototypes for our Material Acceleration Platforms (MAPs), scripting your test routines in Python.
What You'll Do
Support design, assembly, and iteration of hardware prototypes for our MAPs
Assist with mechanical integration of sensors, actuators, and robotic components
Write Python scripts to automate testing and validation of prototypes
Document design iterations, test results, and lessons learned
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams
Support 3D printing, CAD adjustments, and workshop tasks
What You Bring
Basic to solid Python scripting skills
Good written and spoken German and/or English
Relevant coursework, lab, or industry experience in mechanical engineering
Hands-on affinity for mechanical assembly and prototyping
Experience with CAD tools required, ideally PTC Creo
Basic electronics knowledge is an advantage
