Who we are
ACGF – Afghan Credit Guarantee Foundation is a charitable foundation based in Cologne, Germany with a second office in Berlin. ACGF was founded in September 2014 by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and DEG – Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (a member of the KFW Group). Further funding is provided by the World Bank, the European Union, UNCDF and KfW Development Bank.
ACGF`s mission is to improve access to finance for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Afghanistan by providing credit guarantees, grants and technical assistance. ACGF is supported by its Afghan subsidiary SCSA – SME Client Support Afghanistan LLC.
We are looking for a Student Assistant (f/m/*) in Berlin to support our Risk department for 20 hours per week starting in January 2026.

What You`ll do
Support in the data update of the CAMEL (Capital Adequacy, Asset Quality, Management, Earnings, and Liquidity) Analysis Tool used to analyze banks and microfinance institutions
Support in the preparation of ad-hoc financial analysis of banks and microfinance institutions
Support in the preparation of the portfolio and credit risk material for management and Board reports
Support in the preparation of the monthly and quarterly risk committees
Support in the preparation of the monthly and quarterly risk committees’ minutes
Support in the preparation and analysis of macroeconomic and political risk reports
Support in the development of ad-hoc analysis for the risk department
Support in other activities related to the management of credit risk and operational risk

Your profile
You are a registered student (Bachelor or Master) at a German university or university of applied sciences, preferably related to Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a similar field
You have at least 1 year of relevant job experience, ideally in the banking sector, or in the risk or finance departments
Excellent communication skills (oral and in writing)
Advanced knowledge of MS Office software: Excel (highly relevant), Word and PowerPoint
Knowledge of Visual Basic, Power BI and/or Tableau would be of advantage
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to integrate in a multi-cultural environment
Independent, reliable, with high attention to detail and quality
Commitment to and interest in the philosophy and goals of development cooperation
Excellent command of English language. Knowledge of other languages would be of advantage (German, Persian)
