HiWi Position in IBVT: Syngas Fermentation

Position: HiWi position in the syngas lab for assisting in gas fermentation experiments.
Date and Timings: Estimated start date of 15th of May, 20 hr per week of expected working time.
Task Description: The candidate would be expected to assist in and handle Bacterial culture media preparation according to established anaerobic handling protocols. The position will include a training period in the beginning to learn the said protocols and other techniques unique to handling anaerobic gas fermenting organisms. Tasks would also involve assisting in withdrawing samples from reactor runs for metabolomics and transcriptomics analysis. Prior experience in lab work involving handling bacterial media and cultures would be an added advantage, but not mandatory.
Dein Profil
Must be a currently enrolled bachelors or masters student in Technical Biology, Process Engineering, Chemistry, or any such related field of study
Must be familiar with working in a laboratory environment.
Experience with handling microbes and microbial culture media preferred, but not necessary.
