Hamburg University of Applied Sciences
The Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg) offers a future-oriented higher education at a high level in internationally oriented, application-oriented and interdisciplinary teaching and research to around 16,000 students. Four faculties, which are divided into 18 departments, offer a wide range of bachelor and master programmes. Founded in 1970 as one of the first German universities of applied sciences, HAW Hamburg has developed into the largest practice-oriented university in the north of the country.
The faculties of HAW:
- Engineering and Computer Science (automotive engineering and aircraft construction; computer science; information technology and electrical engineering; mechanical engineering and production)
- Life Science (including biotechnology; environmental technology; process engineering; industrial engineering and management)
