University of Göttingen
With a history going back more than 275 years, the Georg-August-University of Göttingen is one of the most traditional and important universities in Germany. More than 30,000 young people study here at 13 diverse faculties. A share of over twelve percent of foreign students attests to the international attractiveness that the university traditionally possesses. The university is distinguished by the diversity of its subjects, its excellent facilities and the outstanding quality of its research. Every year, several thousand excellently trained and highly motivated graduates leave the university.
At the same time, the Georgia Augusta is characterized by its close ties with outstanding non-university research institutions. These local partners form a cooperative network of successful research and teaching activities: the Göttingen Campus.
