Our Mission

Together with us, you’ll work on Digital Health Applications (DiGA) and other products that enable more movement therapy for patients. Through motivating training, a clear overview of progress, and better background knowledge, we aim to encourage patients to stick with therapy and achieve their goals.

About Us

Our story began with participation in the “Jugend Forscht” (Youth Research) competition. There, Pascal presented a robotic hand originally intended for use in hazardous situations, such as in space. To develop this into a prosthetic hand, he sought out a conversation with the head hand surgeon and senior physician at the University Hospital of Mainz: Dr. Eric Hanke.

In talking with our visionary and founding father, Dr. Hanke, it quickly became clear that an intelligent hand therapy device was much more urgently needed on the market than a prosthetic hand.

During the conceptualization phase, Dominic joined the team. The two of them began working on our first prototype. We received overwhelming feedback from therapists, doctors, and at numerous competitions. This motivated us to found LIME medical GmbH and bring our ideas to life.

Since our founding in 2016, the team has continued to grow, and we have expanded our field from hand therapy to general orthopedic movement therapy. Currently, we are passionately working on new products in the field of Digital Health Applications (DiGA) – the so-called “app on prescription.” In this way, we want to give patients additional therapy time.
